Does your facilities management CV represent your full experience?

Tailor your CV to the exact facilities management role you are going for
Facilities management covers quite a broad range of areas and responsibilities. So it’s likely you’ve built up a range of skills during your facilities management career.
However, this may not all be of interest to an employer who has to wade through countless CVs in order to select the top candidates to interview. They will be looking for someone whose experience matches the needs of the position.
So if the facilities management role you are applying for is one that focuses more on property development and planning, you don’t need to waste space on your CV going into great detail on your experience with HVACR building systems.
Make sure you concisely address the requirements of the job specification, ideally in bullet points, so the recruiter will quickly and easily see you have the relevant experience and your CV will be top of the pile of potential interviewees.
Make sure your facilities management CV is fit for purpose
CV formatting has changed a lot over the years, so if your resume hasn’t been updated in a while the layout may need a spruce up as well as your recent job experience.
